30.11.2011 | Two big orders for Erhardt+Leimer from Japanese tire industry

Just recently the Japanese tire industry placed again two big orders with the web guiding specialist Erhardt+Leimer, headquartered in Stadtbergen, Germany. One order was placed by Bridgestone, one of the leading tire manufacturers worldwide with a workforce of 15,000 and sales of more than two billion Euro.
Bridgestone decided in favour of E+L products in order to safeguard their quality standards and secure their competitiveness. Total volume of the order and corresponding follow-up orders reaches seven digits, and further orders have already been confirmed.
Both orders were arranged by the new E+L Tokyo Sales and Service Office which had been opened in July this year within the framework of Erhardt+Leimer’s expansion strategy in Asia. Dr. Michael Proeller, CEO of Erhardt+Leimer, is convinced that “our expansion strategy has been successful so far and we are on the best way to reach the ambitious goals we have set.”
Dr. Proeller is particularly pleased that the orders came from the Japanese automobile industry, since „it is known worldwide for its high quality standards. Opting for E+L as a supplier underlines once again the high quality and technological standards of our products.”
By the way, the E+L products which will soon be used in Asia are manufactured by the Italian E+L subsidiary in Bergamo. With a workforce of 1,200 people in 14 nations Erhardt+Leimer is one of the leading suppliers worldwide of control, sensor and inspection systems for running webs. At present, E+L has two sales offices in Japan, in Tokyo and Kanazawa, with ten people working for them. And it is planned to further expand in Japan.
